The in-house lawyers work on the basis of an hourly fee. That hourly fee is fixed and is based on the experience of the lawyer in question. No surcharges are made for specialisation, the scope of the case, time spent in the evenings or during weekends.
On 1 January 2009 the hourly fee charged by Roelant Klaasen is EUR 290.
Hans ten Katen EUR 275, Bob Sinke EUR 275 and Annelies Volker EUR 190.
That fee does not include VAT and disbursements.
The disbursements also include the offices expenses, calculated as 7% of the fee.
In some cases a payment on account is requested, especially if high disbursements and fees are anticipated and/or a substantial amount of time needs to be spent on the case in a short period of time.
